Eagles pound Texas College for 30 hits in rout to finish series sweep
A&M-Texarkana completed a series sweep of Texas College on Sunday, pounding the Steers for 30 hits in a 27-0 win at Dobson Field.

A&M-Texarkana completed a series sweep of Texas College on Sunday, pounding the Steers for 30 hits in a 27-0 win at Dobson Field.
The Eagles (9-10 overall, 6-3 RRAC) led 8-0 after the first, 14-0 after two innings and added 10 more in the third. Their 30 hits included nine doubles, a triple, and two home runs.
Hunter Reid hit three-run home runs in back-to-back innings, Gabe Baker and Eric Spencer each had four hits and Pudge Carlisle had three hits. A total of 16 different players registered at least one hit and eight players had at least two.
Gage Mason (1-2) earned his first win of the season, striking out three in two innings. Blake Taylor (4 K), Mason Cirkel (3 K) and Nathan Hunter combined with Mason on the shutout.
The Eagles are in Shreveport on Tuesday to take on 4th-ranked Tennessee Wesleyan, then back home Wednesday to host Briar Cliff (IA) before heading to San Antonio this weekend for a conference series at Our Lady of the Lake.
