A Banner Year: Volleyball Secures Multiple RRAC Honors
WACO, Texas – Texas A&M University-Texarkana claimed the 2025 RRAC volleyball regular season title and reaped a host of postseason awards as a result. All conference standouts were recognized at a pre-tournament event and officially announced tonight. Awards were determined by a vote of conference coaches.
2025 RRAC Volleyball All-Conference Team
TAMUT's Paulina Dobreva was selected as the Athletic Solutions RRAC Player of the Year as well as the Attacker of the Year. The Eagles' Lauren Herz also was a double award-winner as the Defender of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year, while Ashley Rhame was named the Freshman of the Year.
To top it off, Madeleine Halford was named the RRAC Coach of the Year after leading TAMUT to a 9-1 conference mark and 23-6 record overall.
Lauren Reynard of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) broke up the party as the RRAC Setter of the Year, and Gabby Waden of Xavier University (La.) was selected as the Assistant Coach of the Year.
TAMUT's Dobreva, Herz, Rhame, Kaitlyn Cabral and Flor Lazo all earned RRAC first-team all-conference selections. Reynard, Mia Francis, Anais Velazquez, and Chanisty Vilarreal-Bermea were also named to the first-team. Xavier landed four first-teamers including Kennedy Campbell, Charity Metcalf, Taylor Parker, and Kamea Uitenham. Mahogani Wilson represented Jarvis Christian University on the first team.
Repeat first-team selections included Cabral, Dobreva, Francis, Parker, Reynard and Uitenham.

Senior Paulina Dobreva has been named the Athletic Solutions RRAC Player of the Year, RRAC Attacker of the Year, and a First-Team All-Conference selection. Dobreva earned five RRAC Player of the Week honors this season (two Defender and three Attacker). She leads the conference in kills (371) and kills per set (3.6), ranks top-five defensively with 3.72 digs per set and 383 total digs, and sits second in the RRAC in service aces per set (.50).
Junior Lauren Herz was voted RRAC Defender of the Year, RRAC Newcomer of the Year, and First-Team All-Conference. Herz collected three Defender of the Week awards and leads the conference with 415 digs while ranking third in digs per set (3.95).
Freshman Ashley Rhame earned RRAC Freshman of the Year and a First-Team All-Conference nod. A three-time Setter of the Week selection, she ranks second in the conference with 545 assists and third in assists per set (5.62).
Senior Kaitlyn Cabral received First-Team All-Conference honors after a standout season in which she became the Eagles' all-time leader in kills and points. Cabral ranks second in the conference in kills (362) and kills per set (3.51) and is top-five in digs with 305.
Junior Flor Lazo was named First-Team All-Conference after posting 177 kills on a .219 hitting percentage and recording 55 blocks this season.
Freshman Macyen Doskocil earned Second-Team All-Conference honors and was selected to the RRAC Champions of Character Team. She has tallied 70 blocks, 142 kills, and carries a .234 hitting percentage.
Senior Zoe Martinez was named Second-Team All-Conference. She earned the final Setter of the Week award of the season and ranks fifth in assists per set (4.69) and fourth in total assists (464).
Freshman Candace Fuchs earned All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition after recording 113 kills (1.49 per set) and 31 blocks.
Head Coach Madeleine Halford was named RRAC Coach of the Year for the second straight season after guiding the Eagles to back-to-back Regular Season Championships. Halford has compiled a 45–17 overall record across the past two seasons.
The Eagles now look to capitalize on their strong season in the RRAC Volleyball Championship this afternoon at 1 p.m., with hopes of reaching the NAIA National Championship Tournament for the first time in program history.
