Women’s Cross Country Concludes 2025 Campaign at NAIA Nationals
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana women's cross-country team concluded its 2025 season on Friday as three Eagles lined up at the NAIA National Championships, competing against a talented field of 331 runners on the challenging 5K course at Apalachee Regional Park.
Sophomore Kayla Reeves led the way for TAMUT, turning in the team's strongest performance of the day. Reeves crossed the line in 23:33.4, earning a 173rd-place finish and setting the pace for the Eagles' trio.
Senior Zalenka Brannan followed as the next Eagle finisher, closing out her collegiate career with a 24:09.0 performance to place 222nd overall. Dana Ruiz rounded out the group, crossing in 26:58.4 to secure 304th place in her national meet debut.
The Eagles' appearance in Tallahassee marked an important milestone for the program, showcasing individual growth, postseason resilience, and valuable experience on the national stage. With a strong mix of returning athletes and new contributors on the rise, TAMUT looks ahead to building on this momentum in the seasons to come.
