Women's XC Post Solid Top-10 Finish at Mississippi Classic
CLINTON, Miss. – The Texas A&M University-Texarkana women's cross country team competed at the Watson Collegiate XC Classic, hosted by Mississippi College at their home course, Choctaw Trails, widely regarded as one of the top courses in the southern region. The field featured 19 teams and 168 runners across all divisions, providing high-caliber competition.
Leading the way for the Eagles was Zalenka Brannan, who finished 32nd overall with a time of 24:03.0. Kayla Reeves followed closely, taking 37th place at 24:15.2. Dana Ruiz (57th, 25:19.1), Priscila Quintanilla Sarmiento (88th, 26:43.8), and Landy Canto (140th, 30:48.3) rounded out the team's finishers.
As a team, TAMUT secured a 10th-place overall finish, posting a team average of 26:13.

The women's team will return to action on October 31 when they host the Red River Athletic Conference Championship, their lone home meet of the season. The race begins at 9:00 a.m., with senior day festivities scheduled prior to the start.
