Eagles Prove Resilience through Challenging Conditions at Nicholls Invitational
The women's team made noticeable progress in their performance today. Their hard work and commitment to improvement were evident, and the results reflect their continued growth. I am very proud of the effort they put in despite the harsh weather conditions. The focus remains on consistent improvement and honing our strategies as we move forward into the season.
The men's team faced a few challenges, with a couple of runners unable to participate due to illness. During the race, Isaac unfortunately suffered a sprained ankle after a fall and was unable to finish. However, the remaining members of the team stepped up and completed the race, showing great determination under the difficult conditions. Their effort in the face of adversity is commendable, and we will continue to focus on recovery and preparation for the upcoming competitions.
Head Coach Natnael Amare shared in reflection of this weekend's race "Overall, today's race provided valuable insights into the team's current standing and areas for improvement. Both teams showed strong potential, but we remain focused on getting better each day. The hot and humid conditions tested our endurance, but the team's resilience shone through, and we are eager to keep building from here."
Cross Country will be back in action this coming Saturday, October 5th as they compete in the DBU Old Glory Gallup.
