Bio
David Palomares Orta joined the Texas A&M University-Texarkana tennis program as an assistant coach in January 2026 and immediately played a key role in supporting the Eagles during the Spring 2026 season.
Originally from San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Palomares Orta brings a diverse playing background spanning both the junior college and NCAA ranks. He began his collegiate career at New Mexico Military Institute during the Spring 2022 semester before competing for Collin College during the 2022-23 season. Following his time in the NJCAA, he continued his playing career at Southeastern Oklahoma State University from Fall 2023 through Spring 2025.
During his collegiate career, Palomares Orta developed a strong understanding of high-level competition and team culture, experiences that have translated seamlessly into his coaching role. His firsthand knowledge of the student-athlete experience allows him to effectively mentor and support players both on and off the court.
Palomares Orta earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in December 2025. He is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) while serving on the Eagles coaching staff.
