Women's Tennis Receives Votes in Postseason Poll
TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana women's tennis team remained in the national spotlight after receiving votes in the final NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Postseason Poll, capping off a historic and successful 2026 campaign for the Eagles.
Texas A&M–Texarkana finished the season with an impressive 21-7 overall record, with all seven losses coming against nationally ranked opponents. Throughout the year, the Eagles consistently proved themselves against top competition while navigating one of the toughest schedules in the region.
The Eagles' success was fueled by strong performances in both singles and doubles play, helping the program rise as high as No. 23 in the NAIA National Poll and No. 13 in the ITA Rankings during the season. Their standout campaign also earned multiple student-athletes All-Red River Athletic Conference honors.
Highlighting the historic season, Ana Gonzalez and Lucia Siddens became the first NAIA All-Americans in Texas A&M University–Texarkana women's tennis history after both earned NAIA Third Team All-America honors.
The season further solidified the Eagles' emergence as a rising program on the national stage and set a strong foundation for continued success in the years ahead.
