ALEXANDRIA, La. — Texas A&M University–Texarkana women's tennis faced a tough test Sunday afternoon, falling 4–0 to No. 8 LSU Alexandria on the road.
The Generals claimed the doubles point, taking all three matches to open the day. The pairing of Ana Gonzalez and Lucia Siddens put up a competitive effort at the top spot but came up just short, 5–4.
In singles play, LSU Alexandria secured the match with straight-set victories on the top three courts. Ana Gonzalez battled at No. 1 singles, while Zahra Dreyer-Ferreira and Lucia Siddens competed at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, respectively.
Despite the result, the Eagles gained valuable experience against top-tier competition as they head into the RRAC Conference Tournament this week.
