Record Home Slate Highlights Women’s Tennis 2026 Spring Schedule
TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana women's tennis program has released its 2026 spring schedule, highlighted by a program-record number of home matches and a schedule loaded with nationally ranked NAIA opponents.
First year head coach, Brian Nelson, shared excitement for the upcoming spring, emphasizing the quality of NAIA teams on the schedule and the opportunity for the Eagles to test themselves against some of the top programs in the country.
The Eagles will host 13 home matches, the most in program history, creating a strong home-court advantage throughout the season.
Texas A&M–Texarkana is set to face eight NAIA Top 25 opponents, including
- #3 Lindsey Wilson
- #9 Xavier
- #10 LSU Alexandria
- #14 Dillard
- #17 Our Lady of the Lake
- #18 Louisiana Christian
- #20 Oakland City
- #24 LSU Shreveport.
In addition, the Eagles will compete against five more nationally recognized programs receiving votes, including Bethel (Tenn.), Mobile, Missouri Baptist, OUAZ, and Oklahoma Wesleyan, further strengthening the spring schedule.
The women's home opener is scheduled for Friday, February 1, 2026, as TAMUT hosts College of Idaho at 12:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove High School.
The Eagles return four players from the fall and add four new student-athletes for the spring of 2026, giving the team a balanced and competitive roster heading into the season.
Senior Day will take place on Saturday, March 28, with first serve set for 3:00 p.m., honoring the seniors and their contributions to the program.
With a challenging NAIA schedule and strong home slate, the Eagles are primed for an exciting spring season in 2026.
