The A&M-Texarkana women's soccer team limited LSU-Alexandria to just two shots in Saturday's conference match at Morgan Field, but both would find the net, resulting in a 2-0 loss that dropped the Eagles from first to fourth in the conference table.
The Generals (8-3-0 overall, 5-1-0 RRAC) scored just 60 seconds into the contest, then added another goal in the 61st minute while the Eagles (11-2-0, 6-2-0) put up 12 shots but couldn't get one to find the net.
Desiree Narvaez had a header go just wide in the 13th minute and both Paige Haderlie and Alicia Loera shot just high of the goal in the first half. Alyssa Daily had a good shot go off the crossbar midway through the second half and had another saved by the LSUA goalie with just a few minutes to play.
It is the Eagles' first home loss of the season and the club will hit the road for two away matches Thursday at Paul Quinn and Saturday at Southwest before closing the regular season with three consecutive home contests.
