Unbeaten women's soccer opens RRAC schedule in San Antonio this week

A&M-Texarkana will look to keep their win streak alive when conference play begins later this week. The Eagles (5-0-0) will be in San Antonio on Thursday to face A&M-San Antonio and then take on Our Lady of the Lake on Saturday. Both matches are scheduled for 1 pm.
ON A HIGH NOTE
The Eagles enter conference play on a five-match win streak, most recently defeating Texas Wesleyan on Monday by a 2-0 score. TAMUT has outscored its opposition by a 15-2 margin. Earlier this week, freshman Desiree Narvaez was the Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her efforts against TWU and Bethel (Tenn.), which included a pair of game-winning goals and an assist. Narvaez leads the team with three goals and eight points.
SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
TAMUSA (1-0-0) has played just one match this season, a 1-0 win at Southwest Assemblies of God last weekend. Ana Barragan put four shots on goal and scored the game-winner off an assist from Miya Motayne in the 14th minute. Maram Abdeljaber kept a clean sheet in goal, making one save.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
OLLU (1-1-0) has split two matches this season, recovering from a 3-0 loss at Oklahoma City in its opener to rout Wayland Baptist, 5-0, on Saturday. The Saints had goals scored by five different players, three of which were unassisted. Tess Pitcher made five seats and kept a clean sheet in the win.

- A&M-San Antonio — The all-time series is tied, 1-0-1. The Eagles won the most recent matchup, 5-0, last season in Texarkana. The teams played to a scoreless draw in their first and only meeting in San Antonio, in 2021.
- Our Lady of the Lake — The Saints lead the all-time series, 2-6-1. The Eagles most recently defeated OLLU 5-1 in the RRAC Championship semifinals last November and the teams played to a 1-1 draw during the regular season. Both of those matches were played in Texarkana. The most recent meeting in San Antonio was a 3-0 loss by the Eagles in the opening round of the 2021 conference championship.
