MARSHALL — The A&M-Texarkana women's soccer team was unable to complete a match for the second time this season, settling for another forfeit victory Sunday, this time against Wiley College.
The match was declared a forfeit by the home team just a few hours prior to the scheduled kickoff when Wiley College could not field a full team. The Eagles improve to 3-0-0 overall with the victory.
TAMUT had its season-opener against Central Baptist (Ark.) called a forfeit at halftime when CBU lost a player to injury at halftime and could no longer put a full squad on the pitch.
The Eagles will travel to Bethel (Tenn.) on Saturday to take on the unbeaten Wildcats (3-0-0) at 4 pm. Bethel has outscored its opposition by a 7-0 margin in three contests. Their fourth match took place Saturday at Louisiana Christian, but was declared a no contest due to weather.
