Women’s Golf Wraps Up Fall Play at the Buccaneer Fall Invitational
BRENHAM, Texas – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana women's golf team wrapped up their fall season this past Monday and Tuesday at the Buccaneer Fall Invitational, hosted by Blinn College.
The Eagles placed seventh overall in the tournament, finishing ahead of RRAC and newly added A&M-System rival, Texas A&M–Victoria, with a team score of 713 (+137).
Leading the way for A&M–Texarkana was Liberty Thomson, who carded rounds of 88 and 81 to finish at 169 (+25), tying for 17th place.
Ella Dieter followed closely behind, posting scores of 89 and 84 for a total of 173 (+29) to claim 24th place.
Next for the Eagles was Anna Anglen, who shot rounds of 92 and 89 to finish tied for 32nd at 181 (+37).
Lainee McMillon recorded rounds of 95 and 96, totaling 192 (+48) for 40th place, while Jalee Sampley rounded out the lineup in 41st place with scores of 102 and 95, finishing at 197 (+53).
The Eagles now conclude their fall campaign and will return to competition in the spring as Red River Athletic Conference play gets underway.
