Dieter Makes History with TAMUT’s First-Ever Golfer of the Week Honor

WACO, Texas (Oct. 20, 2025) – The Red River Athletic Conference has announced that Ella Dieter from Texas A&M University-Texarkana is RRAC Women's Golfer of the Week for Oct. 13-19, and Loris Bonnetton from Texas A&M University-San Antonio is the RRAC Men's Golfer of the Week for the same dates.

RRAC Women's Golfer of the Week – Ella Dieter – Texas A&M University-Texarkana
Junior Ella Dieter from Lindsay, Texas, led the way for the Eagles at the Battle of the Belt hosted by Henderson State University Oct. 12-13, at Hot Springs Country Club in Arkansas. Dieter carded a +25 to finish in a tie for 39th place. Her first-round score was 80, followed by a second-round 77 and a third-round 85. The tournament featured Henderson State University, Harding University, University of Texas at Dallas, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, McLennan Community College, University of Arkansas–Monticello, Weatherford University, Southern Arkansas University, Christian Brothers University, East Central University and TAMUT. The Eagles finished 11th overall in the event.

RRAC Men's Golfer of the Week – Loris Bonneton Alban – Texas A&M University-San Antonio
Sophomore Loris Bonnetton from Monthieux, France, participated in the Chicken Express Classic sponsored by Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas. Bonnetton Alban led the team to its first-ever tournament win in school history. He led the way with a four-under-par for the Jaguars. He shot a first-round 70, followed by a second-round 68 and third-round 67.

Schools participating were Wayland Baptist University (Texas), Ranger College (Texas), Collin College (Texas) and East New Mexico University-Ruidoso.
