Eagles fall to the Tigers in Exhibition Match
Women's Basketball traveled to Arkadelphia, Arkansas this past Friday to take on the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist, a NCAA Division 2 competitor. Ouachita Baptist would emerge victorious after the completion of the four quarters with a final score of 73-36.
The Tigers would quickly build a lead within the opening minutes of the game, and at the conclusion of the first quarter the Tigers would be up with a score of 19-8. The second quarter was an effective quarter for the Eagles, holding their opponent to just 8 points, they were able to bring the score within single digits at the end of the first half. The Tigers would come out of halftime with some momentum and with lights out shooting the Tigers would build themselves a comfortable lead at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Eagles would fall at the final whistle to the Tigers 73-36.
TAMUT was led in scoring by Lex Foster and Kayla Williams who each scored 11 points for the Eagles. Delfina Misuina would lead the Eagles in rebounds with 6, and Kayla Williams would add 5 rebounds to the mix.
The Eagles are back home for their first conference matchup of the season versus the (14) Pilots of LSU-Shreveport on Tuesday, November 12th. Tip-off is set for 5:30pm at the Patterson Student Center.
