Eagles fall to the Lions of Langston University

Women's Basketball hosted the (RV) Lions of Langston University Thursday afternoon in game one of a Men's and Women's non-conference double header. The Lions would defeat the Eagles with a score of 93-41. 

The visiting Lions would go on to shoot 50% from the field and 11-19 from beyond the arc, which would be the deciding factor of Thursday's game as the Eagles only shot 32% from the field and only go 2-7 from beyond the arc. The Lions would also out rebound the Eagles 36 to 29. 

Leading scorers for the Eagles were Senior Kayla Williams with 9 points, Junior Allison Owens with 7 points, and Freshman Nailah Zetrenne with 6 points. Kayla Williams would also lead the Eagles in assists (3) and rebounds (6).

The Eagles will travel for an exhibition game on Friday, November 8^th, but will be back in action at home for their conference opener against the nationally ranked Pilots of LSU-Shreveport in game one of the double header with Men's Basketball. Tip-off is set for 5:30pm at the Patterson Student Center on Texas A&M University- Texarkana campus.
