STAFFORD, Texas — A&M-Texarkana faded down the stretch of Thursday's conference game at North American University, resulting in a 70-63 loss for the Eagles, the third straight for the ladies.
Kayla Williams put up 28 points and 10 rebounds in the effort, but it wasn't enough for the Eagles (12-13 overall, 9-10 RRAC) to avoid falling at Municipal Gymnasium. The Eagles shot just 35.7 percent in the fourth period. Delfina Misiuna added 12 points and nine rebounds, but the rest of the team combined to make just 7-of-28 shots.
Keiarra Rivers paced the Stallions with 24 points, Desiree Rogers added 15 points and 14 rebounds, and Victoria Moore chipped in 10 points as NAU (12-14, 9-10) pulled even with TAMUT in the conference standings, creating a tie for fifth with three games remaining.
The Eagles wrap up a stretch of five straight road games Saturday at Xavier with tip-off scheduled for 2 pm.
