Williams earns RRAC Player of the Week Award

WACO, Texas – Kayla Williams of Texas A&M University-Texarkana received the RRAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor for her performance over the dates of Jan. 22-28. This is the 12th award of the 2023-24 women's basketball season.
Williams averaged 25.0 points and 16.5 rebounds as the Eagles experienced a pair of losses last week. The junior forward from San Diego accounted for 27 points and 20 rebounds in a two-point loss to Louisiana Christian University, and she tacked on 23 points and 12 boards against LSU Alexandria (La.).
Williams was 19-of-44 from the field including 7-of-8 from three-point range. She is second in the conference with 10.1 rebounds per game. TAMUT slipped to 6-6 in conference competition and 9-9 on the season.
