Only six players saw the floor against LCU, with four of those playing more than 42 minutes against the Wildcats (7-9, 4-8 RRAC), who had lost five straight before tonight. Kayla Williams scored a game-high 27 points and pulled down 21 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season and second 21-rebound game in the last three outings. She tied her career high marks in both categories while also posting a career-best four blocks.
Jaslyn Woods added 17 points, seven steals and five assists while Quren Santiago had 11 points, four assists and three rebounds. The Eagles shot just 30.9 percent from the floor (21-of-68) and made just 2-of-9 shots in the overtime period.
Princis Goff had 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Wildcats, and Journi Singleton added 12 points. LCU scored 40 points in the paint and had a 21-0 advantage in points off the bench. LCU finished 24-of-72 from the field (33.3 percent) and connected on 7-of-8 free throws in the overtime session.
A close game throughout, the two teams were tied 12-12 after one before the Eagles took a 31-27 lead into the break. LCU trimmed the deficit to 41-40 heading into the fourth, where the Wildcats posted a 15-14 advantage to force overtime.
The Eagles' trip into Louisiana continues Saturday with a matchup against LSU-Alexandria at 2 pm. The Generals (13-4, 10-2 RRAC) lost 74-73 to first-place LSU-Shreveport on Thursday.
