Adams earns conference Player of the Week award

WACO, Texas — Sophomore Semaj Adams was named the Red River Athletic Conference's Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced Monday by the RRAC.
Adams – a New Orleans native – scored a game-high 23 points last week in the Eagles' 68-58 come-from-behind win at Oklahoma Wesleyan, also pulling down eight rebounds and swiping four steals to lead TAMUT to its second win of the season.
Thru five games, Adams ranks fifth in the conference with 9.2 rebounds and eighth in scoring with 15.6 points per game. She scored a season-high 26 points against William Carey (Miss.) on Oct. 28 and also pulled down a season-high 13 rebounds in the same contest.
The Eagles are 2-3 heading into this week's conference opener Thursday against Louisiana Christian.
