TAMUT women turn up heat on Oklahoma Wesleyan in fourth, leave with 10-point win

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — The A&M-Texarkana women turned things up a notch in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's non-conference game, outscoring Oklahoma Wesleyan by 16 in the final frame to take a 68-58 win on the road. Trailing by six entering the fourth, the game was tied with five minutes to play and TAMUT would outscore the hosts by 10 the rest of the way, putting up 27 points in the final 10 minutes of play.
The Eagles (2-3) forced Oklahoma Wesleyan to shoot lower percentages in each period, starting at 46 percent in the first and ending with just 25 percent in the fourth. TAMUT finished the game strong, shooting 57 percent from the field to end the night with 45 percent shooting (24-of-53).
Semaj Adams scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds to go with four steals. Kayla Williams added 14 points and six boards, Delfina Misiuna totaled 12 points and six rebounds while Jaslyn Woods chipped in 12 points, four rebounds and four steals.
The Eagles will have more than a week to prepare for their next contest as RRAC play begins Nov. 30 at home against Louisiana Christian.
