Eagles rout OPSU in Queens Classic for first win of season
The offense finally clicked for the A&M-Texarkana women’s basketball team Saturday, and it showed in an 85-59 rout of Oklahoma Panhandle State in the final day of the Queens Classic at Wayland Baptist University.

PLAINVIEW, Texas — The offense finally clicked for the A&M-Texarkana women's basketball team Saturday, and it showed in an 85-59 rout of Oklahoma Panhandle State in the final day of the Queens Classic at Wayland Baptist University.
The Eagles (1-3) opened up a 12-poit lead after the first period and outscored OPSU in every period to build leads of 40-26 at the break and 64-43 after three frames.
Jaslyn Woods hit 11-of-20 shots from the field and 8-of-9 from the free throw line to finish with a game-high 34 points. She also swiped eight steals for a defense that forced a whopping 38 turnovers.
Semaj Adams posted a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds while Kayla Williams added 17 points with nine boards.
The Eagles will play an exhibition game next Saturday at Arkansas-Pine Bluff before a road game Nov. 21 at Oklahoma Wesleyan at 6 pm.
