TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana softball team delivered a dominant showing on Wednesday afternoon, sweeping Dallas Christian College in a non conference doubleheader at Bramlett Field with 9–1 and 8–1 victories.
The Eagles used a balanced offensive attack and strong pitching performances in both games to improve to 22–7 on the season.
Game 1: Texas A&M–Texarkana 9, Dallas Christian 1
A&M–Texarkana set the tone early in the opener, scoring twice in the first inning before adding two more in the second and three in the third to quickly build control of the game. The Eagles finished with 12 hits and nine runs in the 9–1 victory.
Several Eagles turned in multi-hit performances. Mackenzie Williams went 2-for-2 with two walks and scored a run, while Skyler Martin finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Madison Ruiz added two hits and an RBI, and Kylie Malone collected two hits, drove in a run, and scored twice.
Kamryn Walker sparked the offense from the top of the lineup, finishing with a hit, an RBI, and two runs scored, while Victoria Clayton drove in two runs and Malone and Grace Cantu each added RBI hits during the early offensive surge.
In the circle, Rylee Glenn turned in another strong outing, allowing just five hits and one run over six innings while striking out three to earn the win.
Game 2: Texas A&M–Texarkana 8, Dallas Christian 1
The Eagles continued their momentum in game two, using timely hitting and a big sixth inning to secure the sweep. A&M–Texarkana scored two runs in the fourth, added another in the fifth, and broke the game open with five runs in the sixth.
Madison Ruiz provided the highlight of the game with a solo home run in the fourth inning, while Madison Haynes delivered a strong performance at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Kamryn Walker added a hit and drove in two runs, and Brooke Usrey finished with two RBIs on sacrifice flies.
Kylie Malone and Madison Ruiz also recorded hits, while the Eagles showed patience at the plate by drawing six walks in the contest.
Alexis Snyder earned the win in the circle after tossing five scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while striking out two. Charli Miller closed out the game with two innings in relief to secure the victory.

The Eagles are back in action on Friday, March 27 as they host the Steers of Texas College at Bramlett Field. First pitch for Friday's doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m.
