Bio

Monica Monreal enters her first season as an Assistant Softball and Pitching Coach at Texas A&M University–Texarkana, bringing with her a strong background as both a student-athlete and leader on the field.

Monreal competed at Henderson State University from 2018–2022, where she played in the Great American Conference as both a pitcher and first baseman. During her career with the Reddies, she appeared in 47 games, recording six home runs and 22 RBI, while also earning conference honors such as Freshman of the Week and GAC Player of the Week.

She graduated Cum Laude from Henderson State in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and is currently pursuing her MBA in Management at Texas A&M–Texarkana.

A native of Ennis, Texas, Monreal had an accomplished prep career at Ennis High School, where she earned numerous honors including Pitcher of the Year, MVP, Most Outstanding Player, and First-Team All-District recognition.

Monreal is eager to bring her experience and passion for the game to the Eagles and is excited to help elevate the A&M–Texarkana Softball program.
