Texas A&M-Texarkana Runners Secure Top Finishes in Half Marathon

TEXARKANA, Texas — Members of the Texas A&M University-Texarkana men's cross country team competed in the annual Run the Line Half Marathon this past weekend in downtown Texarkana.
Despite frigid temperatures and strong winds, 479 runners registered for the race Sunday, and the Eagles delivered strong performances.
Shea Johnson, a junior from Marble Falls, Texas, won the half marathon with a time of 1 hour, 15 minutes, 32 seconds.
Chapman White, a sophomore from Texarkana, Texas, finished third with a time of 1:19:20.
Mark Bultemeier, a freshman from Texarkana, Texas, placed fifth overall with a time of 1:21:57 and took first in the 13-19 age group.
