Trio of Eagles compete at Oklahoma Baptist University

SHAWNEE, Oklahoma – Three members of the A&M-Texarkana Track & Field team competed Saturday at the OBU Invitational, hosted by Oklahoma Baptist University. On a hot and windy day, junior David Hernandez, sophomore Shea Johnson, and freshman Zalenka Brannan represented the Eagles.

Johnson was unable to finish the Men's 1500 meters but posted the highest finish of the day for the team, coming in 13^th in the Men's 800 meters with a time of 1:58.68.

Brannan was 14^th in the Women's 800 meters with a time of 2:25.24, and finished 28^th in the Women's 1500 meters, clocking a run of 5:08.05.

Hernandez was 14^th in the Men's 5000 meters with a time of 16:09.94, then finished 37^th in the 1500 meters at 4:18.81.
