Dorsett captures second Runner of the Week award by RRAC

A second-place finish by Charles Dorsett III at last weekend's competition in Louisiana not only helped A&M-Texarkana take the men's team title, but also gave Dorsett his second Red River Athletic Conference Men's Runner of the Week award, announced by the conference Tuesday.

Dorsett, a senior from Fort Worth, was second in a field of 70 runners at the Nicholls State Invitational, posting a time of 20:33 in the men's four-mile race, and the Eagles left with the overall team championship.

In two races this season, Dorsett has reached the medal stand on both. He finished third in the opening competition, the Nicole Leman Invitational in Longview, back in early September. Dorsett would win the weekly conference award for the week of Aug. 28 through Sept. 3.
