SAN MARCOS, Texas — Charles Dorsett III finished fifth in his heat and seventh overall Friday among a very competitive group during the Bobcat Invitational at Texas State University.
Dorsett clocked a time of 1:50.76 in the men's 800 meters, just two-hundredths of a second behind sixth place and one-tenth of a second behind fifth.
The field was so close, in fact, that Dorsett's seventh-place finish was less than a second behind the bronze medalist, who finished with a time of 1:49.17.
