Men’s Golf Shines at Inaugural Texarkana Invitational
TEXARKANA, Ark. – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana men's golf team delivered a strong performance at their inaugural Texarkana Invitational hosted at Texarkana Country Club, highlighted by an impressive runner-up finish and a resilient showing across the lineup.
Rylen Caldwell led the Eagles with a standout performance, carding a three-round total of 229 (+13) to earn a second-place finish after staying near the top of the leaderboard throughout the tournament.
Ishraaq Anis followed with a 239 (+23) to place 16th, while J.J. Walsh added a 242 (+26), finishing 21st overall. Jax Stovall turned in a 244 (+28) to secure 28th, with Halston Baca (252, +36) and Ayden Haskins (254, +38) rounding out the Eagle lineup in 34th and 40th, respectively.
Battling through challenging conditions, including frigid temperatures during the opening round, the Eagles showed toughness and consistency on their home course in the program's inaugural tournament.
