Men's and Women's Golf Inaugural Fall Season Highlights
TEXARKANA, Texas— The Texas A&M University–Texarkana golf program capped off a standout inaugural fall season highlighted by school records, breakthrough performances, and historic firsts for both the men's and women's teams. From record-setting rounds to all-tournament honors, the Eagles showcased depth, consistency, and growing momentum heading into the spring.
Men's Golf Highlights
Rylen Caldwell delivered one of the most complete fall campaigns on the roster, finishing with a team-best 73.8 scoring average. He posted two Top-20 finishes, including an 8th-place showing at the Wildcat Invitational at Links on the Bayou. Caldwell also made program history at the Battle for the Belt at Hot Springs Country Club, firing a 1-under 71—the first under-par round in school history.
Jax Stovall etched his name into the record books as well. During Round 2 of the Battle in the Desert at Rockwind Community Links, Stovall carded a school-record 5-under 67—the lowest round ever recorded in program history. The performance capped an impressive fall and established a new benchmark for the men's team.
Ishraaq Anis turned in one of the best 54-hole efforts the Eagles have seen, finishing with a 74.5 scoring average for the fall. At the Wildcat Invitational, Anis finished T-4 to earn All-Tournament Team honors. His 4-under total for the event set a new school record for a 54-hole score.
Women's Golf Highlights
Liberty Thomson made an immediate impact in her debut season, tying the program's low-round record with a 5-over 77 during Round 2 of the Battle in the Desert at Rockwind Community Links. The performance earned her RRAC Player of the Week honors and solidified her as a key contributor for the Eagles.
Ella Dieter matched Thomson's school record with a 5-over 77 of her own in Round 2 of the Battle for the Belt at Hot Springs Country Club. Her strong showing also earned her RRAC Player of the Week recognition, giving A&M–Texarkana two women's honorees during the fall campaign.
The Eagles will begin conference play in the spring, with dates and times to be announced.
