TAMUT Bowling Close Out Season with Strong Performances at SWIBC Tournaments
PLANO, Texas – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana bowling teams wrapped up the final meets of the season at SWIBC V and SWIBC VI, competing against a strong field across all levels in a combined Baker and traditional format. The Eagles women's team finished 8th at both SWIBC V and SWIBC VI, while the men placed 17th at SWIBC V and 18th at SWIBC VI.
The women's squad was led by Allison Olivia, who delivered consistent performances across both tournaments. Olivia totaled 625 pins over four games (156.25 average) at SWIBC V before improving to 969 pins over six games (161.5 average) at SWIBC VI, helping anchor the Eagles to back-to-back top-eight finishes. Sofia Juarez added 502 pins (125.5 average) at SWIBC V and 522 pins (104.4 average) at SWIBC VI, while Hannah Bristol contributed 396 pins (99 average) and 545 pins (109 average) across the two events. Lanie Lummus, Sykora Guy, and Chasity Green rounded out the lineup with steady efforts throughout the weekend.
On the men's side, the Eagles were paced by Jax Stovall and Austin McGee at SWIBC V. Stovall rolled 762 pins over four games (190.5 average), while McGee followed closely with 730 pins (182.5 average). At SWIBC VI, McGee led the team with 1,116 pins over six games (186 average), supported by Jax Stovall's 945 pins (157.5 average) and strong performances from Michael Markham (896 pins, 149.3 average) and Aaron Hunter (892 pins, 148.6 average). Peyton Spencer and Alexavier Pachay also contributed during the second event.
With the SWIBC V and VI tournaments marking the final meets of the season, the Eagles finish with valuable experience and growth across both Baker and traditional formats in their first season of competition. The teams look forward to building on this momentum next season, aiming to continue improving their consistency, skill, and technique.
