Houston Sets Rebounding Record, Named Defensive Player of the Week
WACO, Texas (Jan. 26, 2026) – Outstanding performances earned Greg Crawford from University of North Texas-Dallas (Texas) and Daryl Houston from Texas A&M University-Texarkana RRAC Men's Hoops Players of the Week honors for the dates of Jan. 19-26. This is the 12th set of weekly awards.
RRAC Offensive Player of the Week – Greg Crawford – North Texas-Dallas
Senior forward Greg Crawford logged 24 points to lead all players in a dramatic 72-67 victory over Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) last week for the Trailblazers. Down 15 points midway through the first half, Crawford helped the Trailblazers engineer their largest comeback win of the campaign and scored his highest point total in an RRAC game. Crawford accounted for 15 points in the second half and was 9-for-11 at the free-throw line. He added eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal. On the season, Crawford ranks third in the league with 17.2 points/game, and he has totaled 785 points with the Trailblazers in less than two seasons.
Crawford leads UNTD this season with 292 points for 17.2 points/game, 76 field goals, 136 free throws, 176 rebounds, 40 assists, and 19 steals.
UNTD is 6-7 overall and 7-10 in the RRAC. The Trailblazers are ranked eighth in the conference.
RRAC Defensive Player of the Week – Daryl Houston – Texas A&M-Texarkana
Daryl Houston dominated the boards in the Eagles' victory over Texas College, snagging 20 boards (as a guard). He set a new school record for most rebounds (20) in a single game. Houston also picked up a double-double as he scored 12 points. He filled out the other columns on the stat sheet with four assists, one steal, and two blocks.
Houston leads his team with 42 steals, 47 assists, and 158 rebounds (75 offensive, 83 defensive). He is the RRAC leader with offensive rebounds and steals, and he ranks second with 125 total rebounds (conference games). Houston has won Defensive Player of the Week once before.
TAMUT is 12-6 overall and 9-4 in the RRAC. The Eagles are third in the conference.

- NAU junior center Kemani Wilson tallied 23 points in his team's 87-65 loss to LSUA and 79-69 victory over Louisiana Christian.
- JCU junior wing Aboubacar Cisse led his team to a huge 79-72 victory over previously undefeated (15) LSUS. He scored 21 points, added four rebounds, and two assists.
- TAMUT senior guard Jakari Livingston led the Eagles in scoring in their victory over TXC with 21 points. He shot 53.3 percent from the field, 50 percent from beyond the arc, and 100 percent from the free-throw line.
- OLLU sophomore Santiago Ochoa scored 22 points in his team's 72-67 loss to UNTD. He made 9-of-13 from the field, including 2-of-2 threes.
- LSUA EJ McQuillan guided his team to two wins over NAU (87-65) and XULA (95-93). He totaled 44 points, 10 assists, two steals, and six rebounds.
- (15) LSUS senior forward Hayden Brittingham put up his ninth double-double of the season as the Pilots fell to JCU, 79-72. He scored 10 points, pulled down 10 boards, and had two blocks.
- XULA junior center Jamal Gibson scored 15-of-25 field goals and 7-of-13 threes in his team's 71-54 victory over LCU and 95-93 loss to LSUA. He added 21 rebounds, four steals, and three blocks.
- UNTD senior guard DaRyan Williams anchored a strong defensive effort that clamped down on a sharp-shooting OLLU team and completed a Trailblazers comeback down 15 in the opening half last week. It was the largest comeback win for the Trailblazers and their best win against an opponent in the RRAC standings this season. Williams tied a single-game record of six blocks and grabbed six rebounds.
- NAU junior guard Jamarric Hammond tallied 15 rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks, and 31 points in his team's 87-65 loss to LSUA and 79-69 victory over LCU.
- JCU senior forward Iversyn Smith grabbed 15 rebounds in his team's impressive 79-72 victory over previously undefeated LSUS. He added two steals and two blocks.
- OLLU sophomore Jermey Irwin tallied seven rebounds, two steals, and one block in his team's 72-67 loss to UNTD.
- LSUA junior guard TJ James led his team to an 87-65 win over NAU and a 95-93 victory over XULA. He grabbed 10 boards, four assists, two steals, and three blocks.
- LSUS sophomore forward Khi Wallace posted a team-high 14 rebounds in the Pilots' loss to JCU, 79-72. He also finished the game with four blocks.
