TAMUT Battles Past Huston-Tillotson for Conference Win
TEXARKANA, Texas - Men's Basketball hosted Huston-Tillotson this afternoon for game two of a Red River Athletic Conference doubleheader at the Patterson Student Center. The Eagles emerged victorious with a 62-56 win, improving their season record to 10-4 overall and 9-3 in conference play.
The Eagles established early dominance, outscoring the Rams 16-9 in the first 10 minutes. The second half saw a gritty battle between the teams, with TAMUT narrowly outscoring Huston-Tillotson 33-31. Though their shooting percentage dipped further (33.3% from the field and 0% from beyond the arc), the Eagles relied on clutch free-throw shooting and defensive pressure to seal the victory.
