Esports Week 5 Recap: Strong Finishes & Playoff Momentum
TEXARKANA, Texas – Week 5 brought momentum shifts, playoff positioning, and strong finishes across multiple titles as Texas A&M University–Texarkana Esports continues its spring campaign.
iRacing – Daytona International Speedway
The Eagles completed a clean and composed race at the Daytona International Speedway in Esports iRacing competition.
After qualifying 34th, TAMUT worked strategically through the field, avoiding major wrecks and capitalizing on multiple cautions. The patience paid off with an eight-position gain and a 26th-place finish — a strong improvement from the starting grid and a race successfully completed.
Overwatch 2 – vs. Warner Royals
TAMUT fell 3–0 to Warner in Week 5 competition. Despite the setback, the Eagles have secured a third-place finish heading into the postseason and will enter the playoffs as the No. 3 seed.
Rainbow 6: Siege – vs. Colorado School of Mines
The Eagles delivered a decisive 2–0 sweep over the Colorado School of Mines.
