Esports Battles Across Packed Week of Competition
TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texas A&M University–Texarkana Esports program delivered a competitive week across multiple titles, highlighted by sweeps in OW2 and R6: Siege and a thrilling five-game Rocket League battle as the Eagles continue pushing toward postseason play.
Monday – iRacing | Rockingham Speedway
Wesley Shaw turned in a much-improved performance on the virtual track at Rockingham Speedway. Shaw qualified 16th and maintained a steady presence inside the Top 20 throughout the race. His run was cut short on lap 77 after being collected by an out-of-control driver, resulting in a DNF despite the strong pace he showed all event.
Tuesday – Overwatch 2 & Rainbow 6: Siege
It was a dominant night for the Eagles.
- Overwatch 2: TAMUT swept the match 3–0 with strong coordination and objective control from start to finish.
- Rainbow 6: Siege: The Eagles mirrored that success, earning a decisive 2–0 victory to cap an undefeated evening.
Wednesday – Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
The Eagles faced a tough challenge midweek, falling 2–0 to Warner in Super Smash Bros Ultimate competition. Despite the loss, the squad continues gaining valuable match experience as the post season creeps closer.
Thursday – Rocket League & Apex Legends

In one of the most exciting contests of the week, TAMUT battled Keiser in a five-game thriller.

After dropping the first two games, the Eagles stormed back behind explosive offense to force a decisive Game 5 before narrowly falling.
