TEXARKANA, Texas – The Eagles took care of business in dominant fashion Tuesday afternoon, sweeping a midweek doubleheader against Arkansas Baptist at George Dobson Field.
Texas A&M University–Texarkana opened the day with a 17-0 run-rule victory before erupting for 21 runs in the nightcap to complete the sweep.

The Eagles wasted no time setting the tone, plating nine runs in the opening inning and never looking back. TAMUT added runs in four of the first five innings to secure the run-rule victory.
Landon West led the offensive charge with a monster performance, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs, and four runs scored. Jordan Kelly added two RBIs, while Colton Wombles drove in a pair as well.
Ahmar Donatto made history on the basepaths, swiping five bases in the game to break the program's single-season stolen base record. Donatto now sits at 23 steals on the year, setting a new standard for the Eagles.
TAMUT capitalized on patience at the plate, drawing 12 walks to go along with 10 hits in the contest.
On the mound, Colton Sims earned the win, combining with five Eagle relievers to toss a five-hit shutout. The staff struck out 10 and allowed just two walks in a dominant showing.

The Eagles carried that momentum into game two, exploding for 10 runs over the first two innings and never easing up in a 21-2 victory.
Justin Mitchem paced the offense with a 4-for-6 performance, driving in three runs and scoring three times. Landon West continued his huge day, going 3-for-3 with five RBIs, including an inside-the-park home run.
Raul Ramirez was nearly perfect at the plate, finishing 4-for-5 with three RBIs, while Evan Havreluk scored four runs to keep the offense rolling.
TAMUT totaled 18 hits in the nightcap and once again showed discipline at the plate with nine walks.
On the mound, Jeb Drewery picked up the win, allowing just one unearned run over three innings while striking out four. The Eagle bullpen combined for 12 strikeouts in the game, limiting Arkansas Baptist to just five hits.
