Reid earns trio of awards, leads four Eagles to earn All-RRAC honors

A&M-Texarkana senior Hunter Reid already owns almost every offensive record in the Eagle Baseball record book. Today, he wraps up his final season in the Red River Athletic Conference with an armful of awards, leading a total of four Eagles to make the 2024 RRAC Baseball All-Conference Team.
Reid was selected to the First Team, the Gold Glove Team and the Champions of Character Team. Dakota Leopold, Luke Hyzdu, and Jonathan Rios were all named to the Second Team.
Reid is hitting .362 this season with a team-high 12 home runs and 46 RBIs. He also has 15 doubles and two triples making almost 60 percent of his 50 hits going for extra bases. His .761 slugging percentage is the highest in the RRAC and he also ranks first in home runs and sixth in RBIs. Reid also put up a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage at first base, with 255 successful defensive chances.
Leopold hit .364 with two homers, 28 RBIs and 25 runs scored with an on base percentage of .472. He has 12 doubles this season. Hyzdu also has a dozen doubles and hit .366 with two home runs and 15 RBIs with an on base percentage of .473.
In his second season with the Eagles, Rios hit .343 with three homers, 19 runs batted in and 23 runs scored. He drew 14 walks and posted an on base percentage of .490.
