A&M-Texarkana let an early lead slip away Wednesday during a non-conference home game against Ouachita Baptist, falling 10-7 at Dobson Field. The Eagles (13-14 overall) led 6-3 in the second inning before the visiting Tigers (16-11) scored six straight runs to take a 9-6 lead in the seventh.
Dakota Leopold doubled twice and drove in a pair of runs. Gabe Baker had two hits and stole a base, while Julian Macias finished with a pair of singles and an RBI. TJ Krause doubled and Hunter Reid hit his seventh home run of the year.
The Eagles used six pitchers in the game with Anthony Galindo getting the start and throwing the first three innings, allowing eight hits and four earned runs. Dustin Niles (0-1) is tagged with the loss after two relief innings where he gave up two hits and two earned runs while striking out three.
TAMUT will host Tabor (Ks.) for a three-game weekend series starting Saturday with a doubleheader at 1 pm and the finale at 11 am on Sunday.
