Eagles look to regroup this week after being swept by LSU-Shreveport
The A&M-Texarkana baseball team dropped both games against No. 5 LSU-Shreveport on Saturday as the Pilots completed a three-game series sweep at Dobson Field.

The A&M-Texarkana baseball team dropped both games against No. 5 LSU-Shreveport on Saturday as the Pilots completed a three-game series sweep at Dobson Field. LSUS won Saturday's opener by a 13-4 count, then erupted offensively for a 21-0 win in the finale. The Eagles were outscored 45-9 in the three games.
TAMUT (6-12 overall, 4-5 RRAC) got a home run from Marcus Tidwell and doubles from Luke Hyzdu and Jonathan Rios in their 10 total hits during the first game. Tidwell drove in a pair of runs.
Four Eagles – Dylan Cabral, Blake Taylor, Liam Neely, and Dustin Niles – combined to give up 13 hits and 13 earned runs with just two strikeouts.
In the finale, the Pilots opened with a run in the first, then added two in the third before exploding for three in the fourth, three in the fifth, three more in the sixth, and nine in the seventh. Hyzdu had two of the Eagles' six hits, but the team committed three errors and struck out nine times.
The Eagles will host Wiley University on Tuesday for one game at 2 pm, then head to Texas College to open a conference series Friday in Tyler.
