Coach Madeleine Halford serves as the head coach of both the indoor and beach volleyball programs at Texas A&M University–Texarkana, bringing a dynamic blend of playing experience, program-building expertise, and proven success to the Eagles.

Halford launched her head coaching career at John Wood Community College in Quincy, Illinois, where she was entrusted with rebuilding the volleyball program after an eight-year hiatus. In just a few seasons, she engineered a remarkable turnaround—transforming a two-win inaugural campaign into three consecutive winning seasons, highlighted by multiple appearances in the Region XXIV semifinals.

Since arriving at TAMUT in 2022, Halford has continued that upward trajectory. In only her third season, she guided the indoor program to its first-ever Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) regular season championship and a trip to the conference tournament title match, earning RRAC Coach of the Year honors in the process. She also founded the university’s beach volleyball program, which made an immediate impact on the national stage in its inaugural season.

In addition to her coaching duties, Halford serves as the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA), playing a key leadership role within the department. Across both programs, she has established a culture defined by excellence, resilience, and competitiveness—positioning the Eagles as rising contenders on both the indoor and beach volleyball stages.
