Sarah Newman enters her first year as Assistant Director of Athletics for Administration at Texas A&M University Texarkana, bringing more than 15 years of experience in higher education and public-sector administration, including the past 10 years serving in various leadership and administrative roles at A&M Texarkana.

In her role with TAMUT Athletics, Newman oversees the department’s business operations, budgeting, financial administration, travel coordination, and internal processes. She works closely with athletic department leadership to ensure efficient operations and strategic resource management while supporting coaches, staff, and student-athletes across all programs.

Throughout her career, Newman has developed extensive expertise in business operations, financial administration, process development, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Her collaborative leadership style and commitment to operational excellence have helped strengthen institutional effectiveness and improve organizational processes across multiple departments.

As Texas A&M University Texarkana Athletics continues its growth and transition to NCAA Division II membership, Newman plays a pivotal role in supporting the department’s strategic initiatives and long-term vision. Her experience in administrative leadership, financial oversight, and organizational planning provides a strong foundation for the continued advancement of Eagle Athletics.

A proud graduate of Texas A&M University Texarkana, Newman holds a Bachelor of Science in Leadership. She has also completed multiple professional certifications in leadership, cybersecurity, project management, and human resources, demonstrating her commitment to professional growth and innovative administrative practices.

Through her extensive administrative experience and dedication to supporting student-athlete success, Newman serves as an essential member of the  A&M Texarkana Athletics leadership team as the Eagles continue to build momentum and prepare for the next chapter of competition and achievement.
