Dillie Honored as Red River Athletic Conference SID of the Year
WACO, Texas (May 19, 2026) – Texas A&M University-Texarkana's Camry Dillie has been named the 2025-26 Red River Athletic Conference Sports Information Director of the Year, recognizing her outstanding leadership, innovation, and impact on Eagles Athletics during her second year with the institution.
Dillie, who serves as TAMUT's Director of Sports Information, has quickly emerged as one of the conference's rising leaders in athletic communications. Through a combination of strategic branding initiatives, digital engagement, and organizational improvements, she has played a major role in elevating TAMUT Athletics' visibility and professionalism.
Under Dillie's leadership, the athletics department experienced substantial growth across its digital platforms, including nearly 3,000 new followers on Facebook and more than 2,000 on Instagram. She also directed a complete redesign of the athletics website, modernizing the department's online presence while improving accessibility for fans, recruits, alumni, and supporters.
In addition to the department's digital transformation, Dillie revitalized the historical archives for all TAMUT athletic programs, reinstated academic award recognitions for student-athletes, and introduced weekly athletic recognition nominations designed to spotlight Eagles' accomplishments both on and off the field.
"It's truly an honor to be recognized by my colleagues, who understand the hard work, dedication, and passion this role requires," Dillie said. "This award would not be possible without the incredible student-athletes I have the privilege of promoting and supporting every day.
"I also want to thank the SIDs at my alma mater for inspiring me to pursue this profession, as well as my colleagues across the RRAC and beyond who have helped me grow throughout my career. I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve our student-athletes and to give them the same care and support that I once received as a student-athlete myself. I'm proud to be part of a community that celebrates the commitment, sacrifice, and heart student-athletes show every day."
Ryan Wall, athletic director at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, praised Dillie for the impact she has made on the TAMUT athletics department and university community.
"Winning SID of the Year is a tremendous accomplishment and a direct reflection of the passion, professionalism, and tireless work that Camry brings to our department every single day," Wall said. "Our student-athletes, coaches, and university are represented at the highest level because of the dedication and creativity she shows behind the scenes. This honor is extremely well deserved, and we are proud to celebrate this recognition with her."
Jessieca Carr, sports information director at LSU Shreveport and a fellow RRAC communications professional, also commended Dillie's growth and contributions to the profession.
"Camry is an SID who has grown in her craft this season and is an amazing example of NAIA values in our conference," Carr said.
Before joining TAMUT, Dillie gained valuable experience as a student worker in the sports information departments at Graceland University and Cardinal Stritch University. During those roles, she contributed to nearly every area of athletic communications, including writing game recaps, compiling statistics, assisting with live video broadcasts, managing website operations, coordinating national award nominations, and providing play-by-play coverage.
A 2024 graduate of Graceland University with a bachelor's degree in sports management and a minor in marketing, Dillie also competed as an NAIA collegiate basketball player at both Graceland and Cardinal Stritch. Her experience as a student-athlete has shaped her approach to athletic communications, bringing a deep understanding of student-athlete experiences alongside her expertise in storytelling, social media strategy, and branding.
